WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley said it was not to be for the Terras after their 10-match unbeaten run was ended at struggling Dunstable Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

Goals from Ryan Young and Arel Amu ended an unbeaten streak which leaves the Terras in fourth, four points behind leaders Kettering Town.

Molesley said: “I am disappointed we have not won the game.

“I think we had enough shots on their goal to get three points but unfortunately it proved just not to be our night”

“It was a tough evening for us, we have come away from home, I do not remember seeing too many shots on our goal.

“We huffed and puffed but we did not have the quality that we usually show and we were left a little bit wanting at times.”

Molesley praised Dunstable, who claimed only their second home win of the season and are currently second from bottom in the table.

Molesley said: “Fair play to Dunstable, they put up a real good fight of it, they contested every ball they worked hard and they battled.”

Dunstable took the lead in the 25th minute through Young, before Amu added to the scoreline in the 66th minute.

The Terras’ boss said: “We are not really getting the rub of the green at the moment for what I think our performances and efforts are showing.

“I am sure if we keep working hard and keep believing in ourselves we will get our rewards.”

Calvin Brooks got a goal back in the 72nd minute for the Terras with Brandon Goodship forcing a superb save from the goalkeeper in added time as they looked to level.

Molesley said: “We always go to the death, we always keep believing and their keeper made some fantastic saves in the last five minutes to keep us at bay but it was not to be our night.

“We huffed and puffed, I do not think we got to our highest levels that we hold ourselves to but we still probably did enough to get the job done.”
