THE Tornadoes of South Dorset entered 14 swimmers in 51 events at the Exeter & Taunton Gala.
This competition was a preparation for the regionals and a last chance to qualify.
It was a level one and level three event and a great event for the younger swimmers to attend as they get to see the more experienced swimmers compete – though some members had events scratched, as it was over subscribed
The Tornadoes' swimmers won an incredible 15 medals and achieved 39 personal best times
Swimmers have to achieve qualifying times to be invited to the Nationals and both Nathan Moorey, aged 14, who won gold in both the 100m and 50m fly, and 13-year-old Harry Stewart, who claimed silver in the 50m breaststroke, are provisionally through.
Most swimmers will now go to the Regionals during May.
