BERE Regis captain Rich Cole is “aiming to do the double” over Sherborne as his side prepare to visit the Terrace for their Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League battle tomorrow (12.15pm).

Both sides have agreed to stage the match 45 minutes earlier than planned, due to England’s World Cup quarter-final against Sweden (3pm), with an extended tea break.

However, football is not solely on the mind of Cole, who is eager to capitalise on Sherborne’s shaky season, which currently leaves them in last place, by repeating their victory on the opening day of the campaign.

He told Echosport: “Knowing Sherborne are a good outfit we can’t take anything for granted, it was a tight game at the start of the season.

“We’re aiming to do that double over them and they have home advantage. We need to take advantage of their poor run of form, continue that and kick on in a really positive manner. We want to be looking up rather than down. There’s no doubt that Sherborne threw away a win on that first day of the season. I’m sure they will want to prove it to themselves and even things up.”

Bere are set to make two changes as Jacob Kennard and Elliot Woodhouse come in at the expense of Nick White and Rob Cole.
