WITH continuing good weather and perfect sailing conditions Weymouth and Portland Cruising Association (WPCA) members are enjoying time on the water.
Most boats are staying on this side of the Channel but Mary Banks in her boat, Pennyroyal, with crew members Martin Figg and Kate Harley, have ventured across to France and are cruising around Brittany.
They have visited the lovely Breton ports of Treguier, Trebeurden, Roscoff and L’Aber’wrach.
Meanwhile, Alison Stephens and Chris Forrest, with Nigel Page as crew, have taken Cornish Lady to the Channel Islands joining with the Castle Cove-organized cruise.
Barry and Yvonne Gasson, who are cruising in the Greek islands in their yacht Saradon, are back in Weymouth for a few weeks but will be returning to Preveza next month to spend the rest of the summer in the Ionian Sea.
The next cruise in the club programme will be a two-day trip to Worbarrow with an evening barbecue on the beach.
