VERSATILE Weymouth man Tony Lee has left the Terras by mutual consent just days before the start of the new Evo-Stik Southern Premier South campaign.
Lee, who came to the Bob Lucas Stadium after spells with Totton and Poole Town, can play in forward, midfield or defensive positions.
The ex-Dorchester player had mainly been deployed down the right as a wing-back in pre-season by boss Mark Molesley, with the Terras possessing a wealth of striking talent including Brandon Goodship, Ben Thomson and Warren Bentley.
In a brief statement on their website, Weymouth said "things have not quite worked out" between club and player.
It reads: "Weymouth Football Club and Tony Lee have parted ways by mutual consent.
"Unfortunately, things have not quite worked out but the club would like to thank Tony for his time at the club and for his efforts during our pre-season schedule. We wish Tony every success in his future."
Weymouth kick off their league season away to Harrow Borough on Saturday (3pm).
