PUDDLETOWN enter the new rugby season this weekend entertaining Oakmeadians at Greenfields in Dorset & Wilts One South (3pm).
Following last season’s successful promotion, the villagers are embarking on the new challenge of Division One rugby after being absent at this level for eight seasons.
The club is eagerly looking forward to the new season and the challenges ahead, the players have been preparing hard throughout the off-season under new coach Paul Chidley who has returned to the club to take over the helm from Sam Cload, who has moved on to the position of first team coach at North Dorset.
The club said: “It is great to have Paul back at the club and is consistent with the young vibe that Sam has instilled into the club, along with the appointment of our new first team captain Joe Malpas.”
