DORCHESTER Town assistant-manager Trevor Senior is targeting a “little run” of results ahead of the Magpies’ trip to Beaconsfield Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South tomorrow (3pm).

Dorchester are unbeaten in three games, having defeated Hartley Wintney 2-1 and latterly Wimborne Town 3-0 in an FA Cup first qualifying round replay.

Senior feels that with the exception of Weymouth and Tiverton, no team has made a particularly strong start to the campaign and has challenged Dorchester to put a string of positive results together.

He told Echosport: “At the moment there doesn’t seem to be anyone putting a really good run together, Weymouth apart, they’re fairly steady.

“That’s three games unbeaten for us. If we could put a little run together hopefully we can start to creep up the table.”

Senior revealed that Dorchester have not had the Rams scouted, but have nonetheless done their homework on Town.

“I don’t think we have but I’ve spoken to someone who’s played against them, so we know a bit about them and how they play.

“We need a bit of consistency, at the moment you don’t know what you’re going to get with us at the moment.

“I think with Met Police, Kings Langley and Hartley Wintney there wasn’t a lot between those teams. We didn’t perform against Met Police, that was points dropped.

“Kings Langley we got a draw but they were there for the taking and Hartley Wintney didn’t pull up any trees for me.

“Weymouth was the only one where we got completely outplayed, even Salisbury I wouldn’t worry about playing them again.”

Ash Pope (knee) is the only confirmed absentee, but Tiago Sa

comes back into contention.

Senior said: “There’s a few walking wounded. Cam Murray has cramp, Neil (Martin’s) been struggling with his groin, he managed to get through 90 minutes.

“Tiago will be available Saturday, so that gives us another option. Ross (Carmichael) is still struggling with his knee.

“He did the warm-up at half-time (against Wimborne) and he still wasn’t able to come on, which was a shame. Obviously Ash is out.”
