ALL three Dorchester sides are in Dorset Wadworth 6X league action this weekend, as the county town’s first team travel to a Walcot side looking to gain their first home win of the season.

The two sides have a similar league record so far this season, with Dorchester having picked up one less point from their one win and one loss to sit ninth in the table, two places behind Walcot.

The county town side will take a strong pack to front up to Walcot, with Tom Evans and Tom Bamlett propping, Liam Kershaw returns to first-team action as hooker.

Josh Hosford starts the game and James Newsam moves to the number eight position.

The evergreen Dave Gower remains at scrum-half with Alex Peel in his familiar role at fly-half. Jamie Morgan returns to first-team duty at full-back. George Foot and Jo Underhill cover on the bench alongside Andy Dowell.

Dorchester’s A side welcome Lytchett Minster to Coburg Road while the Gladiators take to the road again heading to Ringwood and Ellingham.

Rob Parker will lead his unbeaten A side into the home game, kicking off at 3pm, looking for three out of three victories from his side.

Joe Prior returns to A team rugby at prop, with Charlie Sharp also returning after a gap in the back row.

Steve Tucker comes in at number eight to add to a strong pack, while Chris Elliott weighs down the bench ready to return to front row action.

Tony O’Connell takes his Gladiators on the road looking for win number two.

With a large squad he will be looking to return with the points and his squad includes former Gladiators captain Nick Hodge, the current chairman, whose successful team won their respective league in 2015, a feat O’Connell is looking to match.

Sunday as usual has the youth side of the club taking centre stage, with the under-12s, under-15s and under-16s all in Dorset & Wilts cup action against Lytchett Minster, Wimborne and Weymouth respectively, whilst the under-13s welcome Wimborne to club for standard fixture.

Meanwhile, Bridport travel to North Dorset Seconds in Dorset and Wilts One South, looking for their first win of the season.

With one loss and one draw Bridport are currently rooted to the foot of the table with minus two points.

Puddletown are two places off the bottom in the same division as they travel to Sherborne Seconds.
