WEST Bay Sea Angling Club held their annual RNLI Open shore match in West Bay and along Chesil Beach, attracting an excellent turnout.
Seventeen anglers, including three ladies and three juniors, signed on to fish the match.
Mackerel, plaice, garfish and a fine tub gurnard were caught.
Once again, the winners were decided by the best two specimens.
RESULTS: 1 Steve Harwood 134.05% (garfish 93.61% & Mackerel 40.44%); 2 Alan Jones 132.2% (garfish 83.7% & plaice 48.5%); 3 Reg Clough 117.17% (garfish 69.38% & mackerel 47.79%)
Top lady: Jane Johns 77.14% (garfish 39.64% & mackerel 37.5%);
Top junior: Eden Lynham 107.02% (plaice 59.96% & tub gurnard 47.06)
Heaviest Fish Pool: 1 Robbie Hall (Junior) plaice 985gms; 2 Ken Martin plaice 850gms; 3 Eden Lynham plaice 680g.
The club will be soon be presenting a cheque to the Bridport Branch of the RNLI.
