BRENDON King admits he will make a couple of changes to freshen things up as his side prepare to travel to Poole Town in their Dorset Senior Cup first round tie tonight (7.45pm).

The Dolphins, who reside in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South alongside Weymouth, Dorchester and Wimborne, will represent a tough ask for the Blues, something which King acknowledges.

King said: “It is going to be tough, we know that. They are obviously a good side, they have got a big squad, I will probably be making a couple of changes to freshen things up, give some people some game time that have not had any for a little while.”

However, King stressed the importance of the cup but said that the league is the Blues’ priority.

King said: “It is going to be difficult, they are a good side. It is a big massive pitch up there but you know it is the Dorset Senior Cup so you have got to look forward to it.

“It is going to be tough, our priority is the league that is a fact.

“With the sides that are in the Dorset Senior Cup, the likes of Poole, Weymouth and Dorchester Wimborne and all that it would take a tall order for us to win it anyway. But we will be going up there and trying to get a positive result.”

King’s men go into the match off the back of a 2-2 draw against Andover New Street, while Poole secured a 3-0 win at Kings Langley on Saturday.
