BRIDPORT Reserves and Dorchester Sports are set for a tasty Dorset Premier League derby at St Mary’s Field tomorrow (2pm).

Both sides warmed up for the clash with losses, but Bees’ boss Shaun Annetts, referring to a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Hamworthy Rec, said: “It is not the best preparation for a local derby but we are looking to have hopefully one or two back available.”

Bridport Reserves signed a centre-back last week, in the shape of Jack Wright, but he was unavailable for the 7-1 hammering by Hamworthy Recreation.

Annetts added: “We will prepare as best as we can and we have to look forward to the game at home at least. Hopefully we will be a little bit stronger defensively.”

Meanwhile, Sports’ manager Ashley James feels his side has it “all to do” after a 2-1 defeat to bottom side Sturminster Newton United last time out.

He said: “They’re a good side. We haven’t got a very good record down there in the two seasons we’ve been there, so we’ve got it all to do.

“We’ve got to roll our sleeves up and dig in.”

Sports are boosted by the return of goalkeeper Antony Frost, while Ben Thomas and Brandon Heal return. Gareth Will is suspended.
