YEOVIL Town Ladies manager Lee Burch admitted it was frustrating not to score during their 4-0 defeat to Manchester City Women in the FA Women’s Super League.
The Glovers dominated in the first half, but recovered well to play some fantastic attacking football in the second period with numerous chances going begging.
When asked if it was frustrating that they did not score, Burch said: “It probably is a bit frustrating, I think the second effort from Shannon (Albuery) she will be a bit disappointed that she didn’t score that after a good save.
“It was good to be in the game and go and produce those efforts on target.
“I think up until their free-kick they did not have a shot on target (in the second period).
“In the second half, I felt that we were the better side, especially for long periods.
“With the quality they have got you are always susceptible, when going forward, to quick counter attacks with the quality of players they have got.”
“It is more steps forward to where we want to be as a team and this developing side is continuing to show that.
“I think everyone that is coming along and watching the games can see that.”
