MARK Molesley has spoken of the ‘big motivation’ ahead of hosting Frome Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South.

The Robins may well head to the Bob Lucas Stadium with a bit of confidence, as they are still the last team to earn a league victory at Weymouth, a 2-0 victory some 13 months ago.

Molesley said: “There is big motivation for us every way you look at it.

“They are the last team to beat us at home, we definitely do not want that to happen again and we are trying to chase that top spot, we need no more motivation than that.

“We are in a good place at the moment but we have got to make sure that we keep our feet on the ground and keep believing in the process and the way we do things.”

However, the two sides have enjoyed contrasting starts to the season, with Weymouth second in the table and Frome 20th.

The Terras can return to the top of the table by winning their two games in hand over current table-toppers Taunton Town but anything less will see the Peacocks remain at the summit.

Molesley said: “We only control what we can do.

“Don’t get me wrong, you cannot help but look at the league table and know who you are playing next and who is playing.

“We are fully focused on ourselves.”

Harry Baker will know the team well having spent just over a month there in a successful loan spell at the Robins earlier on in the season.

Molesley said: “Bakes had a successful loan spell down there.

“It is a different manager to the one last season when we last played them, they look a tough opposition like every team in this league.

“We always give them (their opponents) the respect they deserve, so hopefully we know about their threats and what they can bring and hopefully we will try and nullify them the best we can.”

“I feel that we have got more than enough to give any team again.”

Frome are facing a real relegation battle however, with just 15 points from 18 games and are just inside the drop zone.

However, games in hand do not favour Frome, with only bottom side Staines Town having also played 18 games out of sides in their immediate vicinity.

The squad will be assessed at a later point to see the impact of Tuesday’s game against Dorchester Town, but the squad is fit and healthy barring current absentees Warren Bentley (concussion) and Josh McQuoid (knee).
