DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James has called for more clinical finishing from his players ahead of the Dorset Premier League derby with Bridport Reserves at the Clayson Stadium tomorrow (2pm).

James’ men have picked up just two draws since a 3-0 win over Sturminster Newton in early December but the Sports’ boss was encouraged by a greater production of chances in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Parley.

He told Echosport: “Bridport are a very good young side, full of running.

“It’s going to be another tough game.

“It’s always a good game when we play them, it’s quite even.

“I think we beat them at home and they normally beat us away so hopefully we can continue that and try and get some points on the board.

“Saturday’s performance we can take the positives from – we created a lot of chances, that’s probably the most pleasing thing about it.

“We didn’t take them, so hopefully if we can create the same amount of chances we put a few more away and we’ll be in with a good chance of getting a good result.

“We’ve just got to try and get as many points as we can and try and get a bit of form back.”

Gareth Will, Jamie West plus Pat and Ben Thomas are unavailable.

Dorchester Sports are currently ninth in the table, with 26 points from 19 games so far this season, three places ahead of Bridport.
