CASTLE Cove Sailing Club has announced Sail4All, an ambitious course designed to enable less experienced members to advance their sailing skills.
It follows a more limited but popular course run last year.
Andy Eastaugh, the 2019 course organiser, said: “Our intention is to give club members opportunities to learn new sailing skills, to improve their existing capability, and to develop confidence in a safe and supervised environment. “It will also give club members an opportunity to just go out on the water on a Saturday afternoon for a blast knowing they have rescue cover.”
The course will start on Saturday, June 1 and will culminate in a novice race on August 24, while covering key aspects of sailing and every session will start with a shore briefing on the subject followed by a supervised practical session on the water with an onshore de-brief afterwards.
The course runs for nine weeks on selected Saturday afternoons and club members are invited to contact Andy Eastaugh to sign up.
n Anyone interested in more information on the activities of the club can contact the membership secretary at mem_sec@ccsc.org.uk.
