PORTLAND United boss Brendon King admits his side are going to be up against it when they travel to Arlesford Town tomorrow in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division (3pm).

It is part of a mammoth run of away games, with the Blues on a stretch of just one league game at home out of nine with just one further cup game at home in that spell.

King said: “We are going to have to look at numbers, we have got Sam Buckler and Ryan McKechnie banned. Hopefully we should have a few back off injuries. It is going to be a question of seeing what sort of numbers we have got available

“They are going really well at the moment. They are a strong outfit, especially at home.

“It is going to be another difficult trip for us, it is another trip on the road.

“They have got some good players, they are going quite well at the minute.

“They are always quite strong at home. It is just another really difficult game for us at the moment, with suspensions and injuries we are going to be up against it again.”

King also expressed frustration at the run of away games and admitted the spell is difficult for his side.

“One league game out of seven (nine not including the cup game) at home.

“It is another long away trip for us, it is tough having one home game in seven at the moment.”
