WEST Dorset Cricket League's presentation night was a huge success.

Despite a rainy season spirits were not dampened at the awards' evening, and chairman Mark Downey said: "It was a great night and very well attended, all the youngsters seemed to enjoy themselves as well.

"All the clubs have been very supportive throughout the season and it was a good end to a somewhat wet season.

"Having watched a few of the games myself I can see that all the clubs' senior sides will be served extremely well in the future."

In the outdoor leagues Dorchester and Bridport were the big winners of the evening picking up two awards each.

The county town club took home the Under-11's title and the Archie Masters' trophy having won the knockout competition, while Bridport were awarded the Under-13's crown and the Dave Cheffey knockout trophy.
