WESSEX TeamBath will hit the road this weekend and make the long trip to Manchester where they will take on Tameside at Fairfield School.

The squad will travel without setter Veronica Orfanidou, who will be replaced by former England international and debutante Simone Lewis.

Lewis last played National League volleyball in 2006 when she was part of the championship winning team at City of Wolverhampton.

Also doubtful for Wessex TeamBath is England junior Phoebe Jeffery, who is still recovering from an ankle injury.

Another player likely to make her first appearance on the court this season is player-coach Nancy Dome. She has just returned from the United States and can play as either a setter or an outside hitter.

Libero player Henri Creasy is also expected to feature while the rest of the squad will remain unchanged from the side that beat London Polonia in their previous match.

In other news, Great Britain ranked number one volleyball player Lucy Boulton has returned home and her registration documents are currently being processed at Volleyball England.

It means she could be available to play for Wessex TeamBath indoors by the end of the month.

Wessex TeamBath: Denise Austin, Amy Birch, Helene Brown, Henri Creasy, Nancy Dome, Katja Gless, Pheobe Jeffery, Simone Lewis, Shauna Mullin, Kerry Olding, Lizzie Smith.
