ADAM Fricker is taking confidence from Bridport’s last few performances as he readies his side to travel to ninth-placed Cribbs in the Toolstation Western Premier Division tonight (7.45pm).

The Bees have one defeat in their last five league matches, a 2-1 defeat to Plymouth Parkway, and claimed a good point at high-flying Westbury United last time out.

The Bees also put in a resilient display against Wimborne Town in their 3-2 Dorset Senior Cup semi-final defeat during their recent run.

Fricker said: “I know the last two games we have won one and drawn one but prior to that we put in some very good performances against Parkway and Wimborne so we will go up there in good form and we will go up there confident.

“But likewise so will they, we always have a tough game up there at Cribbs but it’s one we will have to be really positive about.”

Braeden Symes will miss out due to injury, which he sustained in the warm-up in the 1-1 draw at Westbury.

Matt Condliffe is unavailable due to work commitments, but Josh Williams will be available.

Fricker thinks the match will come too soon for Chris McGrath however.

Fricker is looking forward to the pitch at Cribbs, pointing out the contrast between their pitch and Westbury’s.

Fricker said: “It will be a complete flip side for us (tonight) because we will be going up to Cribbs on what is a fantastic playing surface.

“We will obviously be able to play a bit more football, but likewise that does not guarantee us anything so we will have to just make sure we are fully focused. We are playing against a very, very good and in-form Cribbs team at the moment.”
