CRIBBS 3 BRIDPORT 3
BRIDPORT clinched a last-minute draw for the second game in succession with a 3-3 thriller at Cribbs in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.
Ed Butcher was the key man for the Bees, scoring in the 90th-minute as Bridport extended their unbeaten run to three games.
Luke King had on Saturday scored a late leveller against Westbury in a 1-1 draw, but this time a point looked unlikely for Bridport as they fell 2-0 behind.
A Tom Burns strike and a Solomon Wanjau-Smith penalty had done the initial damage, although Butcher halved the deficit with a 43rd-minute spot-kick.
The Bees, who included Street’s Leigh Bailey in their starting XI, levelled on 58 minutes through Sam Clark but 10 minutes later Jason Vincent put Cribbs 3-2 up before Butcher’s dramatic late intervention.
Bees: Smith, Williams (Andrews 46), King, Bailey, Martin, Peach, Cox, Thomas, Butcher, Morris, Clark.
