DORCHESTER coach Chris Burton is hoping that his players can relax and play with freedom as they travel to Wellington in the second round of the EDF Energy Senior Vase tomorrow.

The county town boss said: "We haven't had the right mental approach in some of our games so far this season but the pressure of trying to pick up much needed league points is off tomorrow, and hopefully the boys can play some relaxed rugby.

"The league is our priority this season but it would be nice to have a good cup run alongside it."

Dorchester are up against a Devon & Cornwall league outfit in round two who, despite playing in lower division, will provide a stern test for Burton's men.

The coach added: "Wellington are from a lower league technically but I think the standard of play is on a par with our division, so they'll be a good side."

Captain Richie Bament, Steve Hodges and Sam Polley are all missing for tomorrow's trip.

After last week's original clash was cancelled, Weymouth make the trip to Warminster tomorrow in search of victory against a struggling side in Dorset & Wilts One South.

Warminster's changing facilities suffered at the hands of vandals seven days ago, and Seasider skipper Tony Worle believes that defeat tomorrow is not an option.

He said: "We are very confident going into the game and it is the sort of game we need to win if we are going to make any impression on the league this season.

"We are looking for a good performance and to pick up plenty of points. We have got a strong forward pack, unchanged from last season, and hopefully they will provide enough good clean ball for our backs."

Tomorrow's opponents have registered just one win so far this season but that came against Bournemouth II who were unable to field a full side. Warminster's statistics aren't impressive either, scoring a mere 15 points in four games as opposed to Weymouth's 107.

The only change in the Seasiders' squad sees 18-year-old Ryan Llewendon come in for Ian MacConnachie, who is out with a fractured hand.
