BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott refuses to take hosts Blandford United lightly in their Dorset Premier League contest tomorrow (3pm).

The Royals have made semi-final appearances in both the Dorset Senior Trophy and the League Cup, losing 5-1 to Westland and 3-1 to Merley respectively.

Blandford also sit ninth in the current league standings – projecting a vast improvement on last season’s finish of 15th.

Speaking to Echosport, Nott, whose fourth-placed side are chasing a fourth straight victory, remained cautious.

He said: “They’ve got to two semi-finals and they’re a hard team to play – you don’t know whether they’re going to be at it or not.

“It’s going to be a tough game, definitely. We’re just trying to win every game and see what happens at the end of the season.

“We’re going to be fourth or fifth – no-one can take that away from us. It’s pressure off and we’re trying to get momentum for next season – get in good habits.

“This year our downfall has been draws – we’ve had seven. You turn three or four of those around and we’d have been challenging for the title, so we’re not far away.”

Balti could have Josh Houghton, Ricky Lane, Simon Proffitt and Jason Pearce available.
