DORCHESTER Cricket Club are kicking off the season with their ever growing youth cricket section on Sunday, April 28 and look forward to welcoming new children and families again this summer to join the club.

Youth training will be on Sunday mornings from 10 until 11:45 and All Stars, for five to eight year old children, will be on Saturday, May 11 from 10-11am.

The club have plenty of events, festivals and fixtures lined up throughout the season for all their young players and the clubhouse will be open throughout the summer for refreshments for mums and dads to enjoy.

Along with the All Stars where Dorchester finished in one of the top clubs in the country two years running, they will be running age groups including under-nines, under-11s, under-13s, under-15s, colts under-19s and a girls’ section.

This will all be under the expert tutelage of level three coach Sean Fitzgerald plus ex-Sussex and Hants player Joanna Haysom and team.

All youngsters can have a trial session to see if they enjoy it on Sunday, April 28 and for younger ones to participate in the all stars initiative just visit the All Stars website and type in Dorchester CC in the tool bar and registration takes a few minutes and all children will get their own personalised kit bag.
