DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James expects another goal-fest when his side entertains Shaftesbury Town Reserves at the Clayson Stadium in Dorset Premier League action tomorrow (3pm).

Last weekend the two sides fought out a spectacular 4-4 draw with Sports initially going 3-0 up only to find themselves trailing 4-3 after a stirring fightback from the Rockies.

In the end, Jamie Rawlings salvaged a point while Jamie Samways hit the post with a free-kick deep into stoppage-time in a pulsating finale.

Sports’ manager James therefore anticipates no change to either side’s attacking mentality with the final game of the season in sight.

He told Echosport: “On the balance of Saturday I’d imagine it’ll be another high-scoring game, I don’t expect anything less.

“It should be another good game and one of the last ones. Both teams are playing with a bit of freedom so we should be in for another entertaining game. Which way it will go I doubt anyone will be able to call.”

James feels Sports’ inability to close Saturday’s game out will be prominent in their minds.

He said: “That’ll probably be in the back of their minds that they were able to get at us in the second half.

“It will be there for the taking for either team.”

Alex Gould, Ben Thomas, Jamie Quinton, Adam Steele and Jamie West are all in contention.
