WEYMOUTH winger Nick Crittenden is confident that keeper Jon Stewart and the rest of his side will immediately bounce back from last Friday's 2-1 defeat against Crawley Town.

The loss ended a three-game unbeaten run for the Terras and they now face a tough away Blue Square Premier trip to Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.

Crittenden, who scored the opener against the Red Devils, said: "Friday was disappointing because we made enough good chances to win the game.

"Crawley did not create much throughout the 90 minutes and on another day we would have probably scored two or three more."

It was Stewart's second-half mistake that handed Crawley all three points. The 18-year-old came out to make a routine catch but the ball slipped from his grasp and allowed Town's leading scorer Guy Madjo to hit the winner.

Crittenden is tipping the teenager to immediately put that disappointment behind him. He said: "It was just one of those unlucky moments.

"Jon is normally very dependable as his two clean sheets showed in the previous two games but it was quite wet out there on Friday and the ball just slipped through his hands.

"That probably won't happen again all season and I thought he showed a lot of character after that in the way he finished the game. I am sure he will put that behind him now and just learn from it."

As for his own recent performances, Crittenden is happy with the way he is playing.

He said: "I am enjoying my football a lot at the moment. I have chipped in with a few goals and I have also been setting up opportunities for others and hopefully I can keep that going.

"Kidderminster is always a difficult place to go and we are expecting a tough game on Saturday.

"They are up and down a bit like us at the moment and we will have to play well to beat them. But if we can continue to create chances like we have been doing and defend like we did in the matches against Northwich Victoria and Grays Athletic then I am sure we can get back on track and start moving up the table again."
