MEMBERS revelled in a Charleston and supper evening event at Castle Cove Sailing Club.
Barry Grant and Gill Watkin demonstrated the Charleston to a group of club members and the men and ladies were separately shown the dance technique before joining to perform it, or at least to attempt it.
Nigel Page said: “A hearty supper was provided by other club members from the galley. Everyone had a thoroughly entertaining experience.”
This social event is one of many which take place throughout the year at this very friendly and popular sailing club.
Since then extreme easterly winds with speeds averaging 30 knots have damaged the club’s pontoon which has disrupted the start of the racing season. Repairs are underway and all will return to normal as soon as possible.
