TIAGO Sa has agreed terms with Dorchester Town for next season, the club have announced.
Sa's departure from Weymouth was announced on Wednesday, and the Magpies have moved quickly to secure the defender.
Sa will be a familiar face to the Magpies' supporters, having had a brief loan spell at the club during the previous campaign.
Speaking on his first new arrival of the summer, Dorchester Town boss Callum Brooks said: “I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Tiago joining the club on a permanent basis.
"He’s an extremely talented lad at a good age, and since I’ve come into the club I’ve immediately identified Tiago as a target ahead of this season who will improve the group, so to land a target nice and early is a huge positive.”
“From my point of view, Tiago has already had a loan spell at the club last season where he made a really good impact on the club’s officials and supporters who have all spoken positively about him – which is a huge credit to Tiago.
"So that combined with my existing knowledge and extensive research of him, plus where he has been around a positive set-up with Weymouth this season, will help bring a freshness and desire to do well.”
“It’s one target landed and there’s more to come - it’s the first of a few new signings coming into the club imminently and it’s a sign of intent from everyone at the club, from the management staff to the board of directors, where we are really looking to push forward next season.”
