CATTISTOCK brothers Ollie and Jon Legg have been called up to the Dorset Leopards squad for their forthcoming clash with Devon Lions on Sunday (12.30pm).

Jon Legg, who last season made his debut for the senior county side, taking 6-58 in a 162-run loss to Shropshire, has made an impressive start to the season with County Division One leaders Cattistock.

The opening batsman come left-arm spinner cracked 94 and took 2-22 against Broadstone Seconds but only managed 15 and 1-34 in a 79-run victory over Cerne Valley on Saturday.

His brother Ollie claimed figures of 6-51 against Cerne and is currently the top wicket taker in the league with seven.

However, Leopards’ selectors have left out Dorchester’s Simon Mitchem, who captained the side last season, along with Portland Red Triangle duo Simon Proffitt and Matt Randell.

Echosport understands Mitchem is fit and available but has been overlooked for selection.

Dorset wicketkeeper Alex Eckland skippers a Leopards side containing Dorset seamer Ed Bartlett.
