CAMERON Murray has signed a new deal with Weymouth to stay at the Bob Lucas Stadium for the forthcoming season.

Murray arrived at Weymouth from rivals Dorchester Town during mid-January and has been rewarded for his start to life with the Terras with a new deal.

Murray has scored three times in his tenure at the Terras so far, with all three coming away from home, the most recent being the final goal in the 3-0 win away at Hartley Wintney.

The midfielder becomes the fifth person to extend their stay at Weymouth during the close season, following Ben Thomson, boss Mark Molesley, Calvin Brooks, Jordan Ngalo and Stephane Zubar.

Murray, a former Leeds United youth player, is now set to return to the sixth tier of English football as the Terras ready themselves for their 2019/20 National League South campaign.

Murray has previously played in the sixth tier in the National League North with FC United of Manchester earlier in his career.

Meanwhile, Lewis Harvey, who featured for Weymouth during their Dorset Senior Cup semi-final defeat to Poole, has been released by parent club Eastleigh, following the club’s loss in the National League play-off semi finals.
