DORCHESTER Athletics Club produced a fabulous set of results at the Dorset County Championship, once again proving the club to be a real tour de force.

In the shot put, Courtney Cox won gold with a new personal best and complimented this achievement with silvers for javelin and the discus.

It was an amazing day on the track for the club, as Ed Bird won silver in the 1,500m, while Billy Winch grabbed a personal best and bronze in the 400m.

Liv Willmore won and made English schools time in the 400m hurdles, while Nia McConnel achieved bronze in her sprints, with two new personal bests and two finals to her credit.

Molly White won silver in hurdles with the same time as the winner and made the 200m sprint final with a personal best.

Katie Evans became double county champion in the 100m and 200m with a personal best in the 200m.

Freddie Pearce who won gold in the under-15 boys’ discus and was second in the javelin.

Jess Herbert also got bronze in the under-17 girls’ javelin.

The club congratulated all of their athletes on their achievements and their splendid coaches.
