WEYMOUTH'S Charlotte Dobson and Saskia Tidey slipped to fourth in the 49erFX, one point off podium places heading into the penultimate day of the Volvo 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 European Championships.
The sailors have one final day to cement their places in the top 10 to get into Sunday's medal race at the tournament at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
Elsewhere, Portland-based Stuart Bithell and Dylan Fletcher secured three counters including a race win in the 49er to stay in third.
John Gimson and Anna Burnet slowed by weed in the day five opener in the Nacra 17, but recovered with a third in final race to sit third overall.
Ben Saxton and Nikki Boniface also in the Nacra 17, closed the points gap with trio of top results and sit fifth overall.
Rupert White and Kirstie Urwin are knocking on door of top 10, while James Peters and Fynn Sterritt are up to fourth in the 49er as the podium battle intensifies.
