DORSET skipper Luke Webb admitted it would be “fantastic” to guide his side to Unicorns T20 finals day as they prepare for a group-deciding double header.
Webb’s troops, who have recorded six wins out of six, head to South Wilts to take on second-place Wiltshire tomorrow (11am).
Avoiding defeat in either game would see Dorset progress to the climax of the competition, with the semi-finals and final set to be held at Wormsley on August 25.
Asked what it would mean to guide the county to the last four in his first year as captain, Webb said: “It would be absolutely fantastic. I am not going to play it down.
“If we could get to that T20 finals day, for the county it would be a massive thing. Having that day and getting everyone up to Wormsley to watch would be fantastic.
“We are looking no further than that first game. I am 100 per cent confident, if we can play the cricket we have played this season, then we will pick up the win we need.”
