DORCHESTER Town midfielder Sam Lanahan believes he has no “point to prove” as he prepares for a third spell at the Magpies.
In his second stint, Lanahan was the club’s top scorer with nine goals from 29 games during the 2017/18 season but left for strugglers Gosport Borough with two months of the campaign left.
Boro captain Charlie Davis has also made the move to Dorchester this summer.
Asked whether he has unfinished business at the Clayson Stadium, Lanahan suggested his past endeavours at Dorchester had left him with little to demonstrate.
He told Echosport: “It was interesting because they didn’t do a top goalscorer (in 2018), now I’ve seen they did do one (in 2019) so that made me laugh!
“But it’s not unfinished business, I’ve enjoyed my time there before and I’m looking forward to going back.
“I don’t feel like I’ve got to go back with a point to prove, I just want to go and enjoy it and do my best for the club.”
