WEYMOUTH and Portland Cruising Association’s evening social was a quiet affair due to numerous sailors journeying as far as the Greek Islands.
John and Jane Atkinson with their dog Rolo, eventually left for the West Country in their boat Eleanor, hoping for an improvement in the weather while Minnehaha and Monterey are still in the Channel Islands.
Madeleine has returned from the Solent while Alison Stephens and Chris Forrest in Cornish Lady are heading that way on Friday for a weekend of long distance cruising talks in Lymington.
Meanwhile, Barry and Yvonne Gasson are enjoying the sun in the Greek Islands where their boat Saradon is based, meeting up with friends and generally enjoying a relaxed way of life.
