CHRIS and Tess Reid are continuing their summer cruise and have moved on from Brittany to the Isles of Scilly where they were met with the easterly gales last week.
They managed to find reasonable shelter in New Grimsby before meeting up with Patrick and Jacquie Crawley, sailing Minnehaha, in Porth Cresa.
Paul and Maggie Roberts in Stella are also heading for the Scillies after their trip to Scotland had to be cut short.
July’s cruising will be shorter local trips with boats returning to Weymouth to take part in the RNLI Parade at the end of the month.
Weymouth and Portland Cruising Association members are encouraged to keep others informed of their plans on Facebook or the website so that new members, particularly, can join them and share information.
