TORNADOES of South Dorset swimmer Rebecca Beal enjoyed a superb British Masters Championships, taking a silver and a bronze medal at the Welsh national pool in Swansea.

Beal, 24, entered three events, 200m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and the 200m individual medley in the 18-24 age group.

Her first event was on the opening day of the competition, and She started with the 200m breaststroke, where a great swim saw her lower her entry time to claim the silver medal.

The following day she started with the 100m breaststroke, where another strong swim saw her claim a bronze this time and Beal finished the competition with the 200m medley, where another great swim saw her climb from her entry of 12th to finish in sixth place.

Lead coach Chris Beal praised Beal for her performances, where she improved on all three of her entry times, and looked strong in all of the swims, and to come away with two British championship medals was outstanding.
