DORCHESTER Sports manager Ashley James says he never thought they would be playing in the FA Vase when they set the club up, ahead of their first qualifying round clash at Swanage Town & Herston.
Sports travel to the Swans (3pm) off the back of a 3-1 victory over Bridport Reserves on Tuesday, and James says it is amazing for the club.
Sports boss James said: “It is a big day for our club really. We set it up 12 years ago and never to this day did I think that we would be playing in the FA Vase.
“It is pretty surreal to be honest, but lots and lots of hard work has gone in over the years to get to this stage and now we are there so we have got to look forward to it and hopefully go there full of confidence (after the 3-1 victory) and see where it takes us.
“It is amazing for the club and amazing for everyone that has played for it over 12 years and it is pretty surreal, but on Saturday it will be business as usual.”
Sports hope to have Ryan Ross and Jamie West back, Alex Stafie is a doubt but Adam Wash and Ash Weeks miss out.
