DORSET require 428 more runs to win after Berkshire set them an enormous 520 target in their MCCA Unicorns Championship Western Division clash at Wargrave.

On the second day, Dorset were bowled out for 150, Ben Walker top-scoring with 33, but Berkshire elected not to enforce the follow-on.

Instead, the hosts piled on the runs to add to their already imposing 298 advantage.

Dan Lincoln blasted 82 from 45 balls, including five fours and seven maximums, aided by 64 from Savin Perera, as Berkshire declared on 230-4.

George Wilson had snared 2-34 from four costly overs in that second innings as Berkshire called time with just under four sessions of the match remaining.

In their improbable quest for victory, Dorset started well as captain Luke Webb (45no) and Tom Prest (43no) guided the visitors to 92-0 at stumps off 22 overs, the duo sharing 12 boundaries in a fluent opening partnership.
