DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James will guard against complacency ahead of a trip to Dorset Premier League basement boys Wareham Rangers tomorrow (3pm).

James’ men have enjoyed a solid start to the new campaign, taking 11 points from six games to hold sixth position with a game in hand on their immediate rivals.

Sports face a Wareham side rooted to the foot of the table after a winless spell of six games and James insisted he will not change his approach to the contest.

He told Echosport: “We’ll treat it like all the other games we have this season and go into it with the same attitude.

“We’re always confident and that’ll be the same again. It will be the same approach and we’ll hope for another three points.”

Sports come into the clash having beaten Swanage Town & Herston 1-0 in the FA Vase first qualifying round to earn a tie against Christchurch.

But James denied his players would struggle to refocus on league action.

“We won’t be thinking about the Christchurch game until hopefully we’ve got three points (tomorrow),” he said.

“It will all be focused on Wareham and there’ll be no talk of Christchurch.”

Adam Steele, Ash Smith and Pat Thomas miss out while Ryan Ross and Alex Stafie are absent with knee injuries. Darren Watts (toe) is 50-50 but Adam Wash returns.
