DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James is relishing the “massive occasion” of an FA Vase second qualifying round battle with Christchurch at the Clayson Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

Sports entered the Vase for the first time in their history this season and beat Swanage Town & Herston 1-0 away to book their place against ninth-tier Christchurch.

James told Echosport: “We can’t wait to get out there and get playing. All the lads are excited and it should be a great day for our club.

“Hopefully we can get a result as well, it’s a massive occasion and everyone’s looking forward to it.

“We know (Christchurch) are a really good outfit and they’ll play good football. We’re under no illusions it’s going to be a tough game.

“If we’re on our best form we’ve got a chance of doing well.

“We’re the underdogs, they’re the favourites and all the pressure’s on them. We’ll give it our best shot and see where it takes us.”

James promised not to change his team’s attacking style, adding: “We won’t be changing anything we’ve done in the first eight games, which is to try and attack teams.

“The good news this season is we’ve been defending well, so it gives us a good platform to go and attack.”

Antony Frost (shoulder) is absent, Ryan Ross (knee), Jamie Rawlings and Jamie West (both hamstring) are likely to miss out, while Darren Watts (toe) is 50-50.

Ash Weeks, Ash Smith, Pat Thomas, Adam Steele, Dan Peart and Alex Stafie all return.
