WEYMOUTH defender Callum Buckley has agreed a one-month loan deal with Hayes & Yeading United.

Left-back Buckley is one of the most admired players in the Terras' dressing room, known for his tireless work ethic, and has been a near ever-present in the Mark Molesley era.

However, the former Aldershot and Bournemouth full-back has found his match minutes limited after the signing of in-form left-back Ollie Harfield.

While Buckley can also play centre-back, Molesley has tended to select Stephane Zubar and Sam Sherring in central defence when fit this season. Bournemouth defender Shaun Hobson has also joined the club in recent weeks.

In a brief statement on the Terras' social media feeds, Weymouth said: "Weymouth Football Club can confirm that Callum Buckley has joined Hayes & Yeading United on a month-long loan. Best of luck Callum!"

Buckley will now link up with Hayes & Yeading, who ply their trade in the BetVictor Southern Premier South, and could come up against Dorchester Town on Tuesday, September 24.

If selected, Buckley could make his debut for United at home to Yate Town tomorrow (3pm).

Buckley joins midfielder Jordan Ngalo and goalkeeper Mark Childs in having left the club to seek extra game time, while centre-back Jordan Rose exited last weekend.
