WEYMOUTH & Portland coach Rich Bament is relishing the prospect of playing an “extravagant” Dorset Dockers side in their Wadworth 6X Dorset & Wilts One South tussle tomorrow.

Christchurch-based Dockers have endured a surprisingly slow start to their season after successive defeats to Dorchester and Blandford.

They sit six points beneath a Seahorses team that has beaten Oakmeadians and Salisbury Seconds their opening two games.

Bament told Echosport: “It’s a bit of a challenge.

“They’ve had losses so we’ll go there and hopefully we’ll get another win.

“If we play like we can play I’ll be quite happy to come away with four points. They like to throw the ball around and they’re quite an extravagant team.

“They’re quite robust in the forwards and they’ve got a bit of flair at the back because they’ve got some guys who’ve played at decent standards.”

Asked how difficult it is to contain a flamboyant side, Bament said: “It’s just trust your mates, basically!

“But as long as we do what we’re good at, get the ball and attack I think we’ll have plenty of opportunities to score.”

The Seahorses are waiting on the results of Dave Oaksford’s knee scan, while Luke Savage (hamstring) faces a further two weeks on the sidelines.

Luke Benyon is a doubt with a hamstring issue, while Bament’s men could be hindered by several unavailabilities.
