TOMORROW sees the start of a new chapter for Portland Town first team, managed by Kevin Paice.
The islanders will play their inaugural game at their new home, Milborne St Andrew Sports Club, against Dorset League Division One table-toppers Alderholt, which looks to be a cracking game.
As well as securing Milborne as the home ground for the season, Portland also received sponsorship from Chesil Beach Motors for the season ahead as well as match-ball sponsorship from the Royal Oak in Milborne where the side will go after their matches.
However, Portland have been dealt a blow with regulars Greg Borthwick, Reece Merrifield and Matt Dunlop all unavailable and Nick Paul out with injury but are boosted with the return of goalkeeper Pete Cowne, Ross Pettit and Jethro Tenant.
Manager Paice, who is serving his first full season in charge of Portland, is relishing the opportunity of playing all three of the current top teams in the next three weeks and is aiming for maximum points after a disappointing defeat to Upwey & Broadwey in their last match.
