LEADERS Gungho narrowly kept their winning streak in this top-of-the-league clash.

Both teams set off with fast-paced play.

George worked hard to get the ball into the D, but Gungho’s skilled defenders smothered their attempts to find the net.

The quarter ended with an even scoreline as both teams found their rhythm.

Gungho dominated the mid-court but George’s Rachel Scarff (GS) made fantastic use of scoring opportunities to edge her team ahead by one goal at half-time.

George upped their game with dynamic movement, feeding well into their shooters who wasted no time in converting.

Changing weather made play more difficult but George held on to their lead.

Gungho made some tactical changes in an effort to close the gap.

Evie Hambleton-White moved to GA, where she showed phenomenal skill to rack up many points for her team.

Gungho gave their all and in the end were able to snatch the lead and keep their winning streak.

ALLWAYS REMOVALS 14

ARTIFEX B proved why they are top of their division as they claimed a convincing victory.

ARTIFEX wasted no time in securing the lead, with Jane Bayley (GA) expertly racking up points.

Allways responded with a few good shots, but Artifex worked hard to limit scoring opportunities.

Artifex displayed smooth mid-court play as team-mates provided each other with options.

Strong winds did not seem to bother either team’s shooters as they continued to secure goals.

Allways’ GS, Lorraine Kellaway, made an impressive long-shot in the third quarter – great teamwork from Allways allowed them to lower the score difference despite having only six players.

Play slowed due to wet conditions but Artifex were on a scoring spree, racking up points to secure a convincing victory.
