Weymouth moved into the Vanarama League South's top four following a comfortable 3-0 defeat of Braintree Town and manager Mark Molesley, whilst admitting his side "weren't at our fluid best," was delighted with the performance of his charges, and in particular his teenage defensive unit.

Describing their slow start to the game, the Terras' boss explained, "We started slowly, looked a little bit lethargic and we not our usual selves. But, credit to the boys, we did get ourselves going and played some very good stuff when we needed to."

With a number of senior players absent through injury Molesley has had to show faith in youth and he was delighted with the performances of the youngsters in his group who have stepped up including new 19 year old loan signing Brennan Camp from AFC Bournemouth.

"It's been a tough couple of weeks with quite a few players in the stand now. Wardy (Calum Ward) was outstanding today, making some great saves at vital times and he showed maturity beyond his years, " said Molesley.

Referring to the group of 19-year olds in the starting eleven a proud Molesley continued, "And Brennan (Camp) coming in today - this was the highest level he has played and he fitted in seemlessly. There was plenty of positives to take from today including a clean sheet and we probably have the youngest backline in non-league football with the big players we have out."
