PORTLAND United boss Brendon King said he doesn’t know the squad he’ll have for Portland’s Toolstation Western League Premier Division clash with Tadley Calleva at the Weyline Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

After quite a few games in quick succession, King’s side have picked up a few injuries and the squad will be assessed late on Friday.

Speaking to Echosport, King said: “We have a few little niggles. We’re not going to know who we have till late on Friday or early on Saturday.

“Jamie Beasley has got massive stud marks down his thigh, Sean Stewart has got a bad back, Ed Bastick is still out with his ankle, so we have a few little niggles.

“We’ll have to see what we’re like. That’s why we’ve got a big squad and everybody is needed.”

The Blues’ last outing was away to Hamworthy on Tuesday night, where they left with a point following a 1-1 draw.

King’s men sit third in the table while their opponents lie seven points below them in 14th.

“I don’t even know where (Tadley) are in the league,” King added.

“What I do know is they have got some decent players.”

“You can’t underestimate anyone in this league because, ultimately, you will get beaten.

“We’ll have to go out with the same attitude as we’ve had for the last few weeks. You have no given right to win a football match, you have to earn that right.”

Avoiding defeat will extend their unbeaten league run to seven games, having won five of the previous six.
