HAVING suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend away at Newmarket, Weymouth Beach Volleyball Club indoor team bounced back on Saturday with a convincing 3-0 win against the same opposition at Redlands.

Weymouth started the first set strongly with strong and pulled out a comfortable lead which they never let slip to pull out a 25-18 win.

The second set was much closer as Newmarket upped their serving strength and made it harder for Weymouth to put their attack together.

However, as the set went to a thrilling climax Weymouth introduced Scottish International Sean Hendry to the match. His extra power at the net helped the side to a 25-22 win to take a 2-0 win. Weymouth then took complete control in the third set and ran out 25-12 winners for a 3-0 victory.

With a third of the season played Weymouth sit at the top of the National league 2 South and look to be in a strong position to push for promotion.
