PORTLAND United will welcome back a host of former Blues and Weymouth stars for their festive Boxing Day charity fixture in support of the Three Ells Trust (11am).
The match is designed to raise money for the Three Ells, set up after Lewis Naerger, son of the late former Blues’ secretary David, passed away with leukaemia.
Nick Preston’s Old Boys include the likes of former Portland captain Darren Whyton plus Andy Turrell, Pete Turrell, Paul Myers, Alan Rodgers, Mick Greeno and Willie Gibson – all of whom have represented Portland and Weymouth.
Former Terras’ boss Ian Hutchinson and Weymouth player Mark Robinson are also in the squad along with James Reeve and Pat Reader.
Their opponents, Mark Carter’s All Stars, include former Portland manager Simon Browne, ex-Blues’ skippers Lewis Whyton, Lloyd Cranny and Andrew Perkins, plus James Turrell and Nigel Evans.
Entrance is free on the day, with the bar opening one hour before kick-off at 10am.
Collection buckets will go round during the clash, which is sponsored by Robin and Carola Satherley.
