DORCHESTER Town have completed the signings of centre-back Jamie Laird and midfielder Harry Gardner on non-contract terms.

Boss Leigh Robinson has moved to sign the duo ahead of tomorrow's BetVictor Southern Premier South home clash with his former club Truro City (3pm).

On Thursday, Robinson secured the signature of striker Harry Warwick as the ex-Taunton manager's mission to lift Dorchester from the bottom of the league begins in earnest.

Laird is an ex-Weymouth defender while Gardner counts Exeter City and Taunton Town among his former clubs - arriving at the latter one month after Robinson departed for Truro in September 2018.

A statement on the Magpies' website said: "Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce the double signing of Jamie Laird and Harry Gardner earlier today.

"Experienced central defender Jamie, who spent a number of seasons with Weston-super-Mare in the National League South, started this campaign at Bridgwater Town having also had spells throughout his career with Hereford, Yate Town, Weymouth and Paulton Rovers.

"Former Exeter City youngster Harry, who progressed through the Grecians' youth system before going on to sign for Taunton Town, is a midfielder who can also operate at full-back.

"The duo, who have both agreed non-contract terms, are set to make their debuts for The Magpies tomorrow afternoon as we host Truro City at The Clayson Stadium."
