Unbeaten after 19 games this season, Dorchester’s Highwood sponsored 1st XV look to overcome Lytchett Minster tomorrow in the Wadworth Dorset & Wilts 1 South league clash (2.15pm).

With a game in hand and a seven point lead in the league, things look good for the county town outfit. Coach Martin Oxland is waiting on fitness tests for scrum half Dave Clarke and prolific try scorer James Baker. The rest of the line up has a very familiar look with Liam Moss remaining at full back following a late call last week.

The clubs A XV face Oakmeadians at Surcouf Park in the Dorset & Wilts 2nd XV Shield quarter final. Captain Matt Fry will be keen to put the disappointment of a conceded game last Saturday behind the team and push to make the semi final. The Phase 3 Kitchens sponsored team have their eye on some silverware. The game kicks off at 2pm.

Dorchester’s erstwhile Gladiators make the short hop over the Ridgeway to Weymouth this evening and take on the Seasiders 2nd XV.

On Sunday the club has a number of its youth section teams in action with the U14’s facing Chippenham in the D&W cup, whilst the U15’s & U16’s lock horns with Bridport and Weymouth & Portland respectively. Dorchester’s highly successful Colts side face Midsomer Norton at 2pm in a Dorset & Wilts cup semi final and Coach Mike Sprules is keen to get a partisan crowd cheering the team on from the touchline. Kick off is 2pm.

The combined Ridgeway Roses team face Melksham at Weymouth’s Monmouth Avenue ground on Sunday afternoon kicking off at 2.30pm.
